Background

The founder and owner of Total Media Works is Terry Williams.  He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a BA degree in Communications.  For more than 25 years Terry has been involved with audio, video, lighting, sound, computers and teaching.  He has a broad range of experience including television news producer, media technician, media production specialist, theatrical sound designer, instructor and journalist.

As a sound designer Terry has been responsible for hundreds of stage productions over the last 20 years.  He has taught audio production courses at Elon University and UNC-Greensboro, and continues to conduct classes and workshops on a variety of technical and audiovisual topics.

Terry has extensive experience in the video world.  He has served as writer, director, producer, videographer and on-camera talent.  He has assisted in the production of TV commercials, training and marketing programs, theatre performances and web-based video.  He is also a still photographer and has received the certification of Certified Photographic Consultant.

He is also an experienced computer technician and a Microsoft Software Advisor.  He provides training for Microsoft products, office productivity and multimedia production.

Terry spent most of his life as a resident of Greensboro, North Carolina, but has recently relocated to Michigan.  In the summer of 2004 he moved to Ann Arbor with his wife, Gillian, and their furry, four-legged child Riley.
